We try to implement a positive environment at SABRC – making sure that we all recognise the good things that happen and the achievements we make, no matter how small they may seem.
We encourage all of our volunteers and visitors to participate with our ‘Board of Positivity’; simply writing down something they’ve enjoyed or a task they feel satisfied to have completed. It doesn’t have to be more than a few words, but ensures we all recognise the positive actions we’ve taken and the progress we’ve made.
It’s a chance for our volunteers to get creative too and unleash their artistic talent at the end of a hard day’s work!
We know that everyone is different and has their own opinions and values, which we respect. We welcome anybody to come and visit or volunteer, just contact us if you’re interested!
Here are just some of the values that we promote. We try to create a calm, inclusive, positive atmosphere where humans and non-humans alike can thrive.
A little bit of kindness goes a long way. We believe in being kind to all human and non-human animals. If we all tried to do that a bit more, wouldn’t the world be such a better place?
We believe that everyone is equal, simple as that.
We believe that by working together we can achieve great things. Whether it’s on as large a scale as changing the world, or in a day to day task (poo-picking being a great example!), many hands make light work.
